Social Skills Summer Camp
ARM offers a camp during the summer for school age children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Spaces are limited. Summer camp 2019 is now over. Sign up for emails to stay updated on the registration period for Summer 2020.
Youth and Teen Activity Night with NBCC students
An amazing and fun event for middle school and high school aged students with an ASD.

ARM BOOK NOOK
Employs young adults with an ASD. We accept donations of gently-used books. Volunteers receive 50% off our already low prices!
ARM Employment Project
ARM partners with PETL and the Federal Government of Canada to offer individuals with an ASD a series of workshops to teach workplace and social skills, First Aid, CPR and WHMIS training.
Lending Library
ARM is proud to offer a lending library of ASD related books, DVDs, and computer softwares. Feel free to drop in and explore our current selection. Are you looking for information on a certain topic? Let us know and we help you find the resources you need. All material loans are available free-of-charge for a period of 3 weeks. Need it longer? Just give us a call, extensions are available with prior approval.

Therapy Material Centre
Are you an Autism Support Worker, Teacher's Assistant or a parent who would like help making therapy materials to use with an individual with an ASD? We currently offer printing, laminating and binding services. Come in and take advantage of this great opportunity. Our staff will help you locate visual pictures using programs such as BoardMaker, create visual schedules, print and laminate flashcards, or anything else you might need help with. This service is currently being offered free-of-charge. However, donations will be accepted to help replenish supplies.
Computer & Internet Access
Need help researching Autism Spectrum Disorders, treatment options, therapy resources? We offer free access to our computer and high-speed internet. Also, our staff can help direct you to reliable sites to help save you time.
Individual Support for Families
Whether it's dealing with a new diagnosis, looking for available local resources or just needing to talk to someone in a similar situation, we provide guidance and advocacy in a supportive manner. Please call to make an appointment to speak with our director.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Information Packages and Hand-outs
We are working hard to prepare information packages full of valuable resources and information for 3 separate groups:
1.Parents
2.Community Support Workers
3.Medical and other Professionals
These packages will include information on ASD, government and other programs such as the Disability Tax Credit, Easter Seals Disability Travel Card and Access to Entertainment program, and the upcoming Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), and much more.
On-site Professional Consultation
Are you an Autism Professional who requires a location to meet with your clients? ARM offers free occasional use of a private room for professionals to meet with their clients at our centre.
Teen Volunteer Skill Building Program
Do you have a teenager who is not in school full-time and needs support to develop work-place and social skills? This program offers teens with a diagnosis of an ASD a chance to volunteer in our book store with on-site support to learn work skills, communication skills, social skills and organizational skills. This program acts as a bridge to our Employment Skills Program (no obligation).
Career Quest
Partnering with Autism Nova Scotia and the National Program 'Ready, Willing and Able,' we are proud to offer a new program that teaches job searching skills! If you're an adult with autism and WANT to work, are under/un employed or have completed an Employment Skill Program this may be for you! Call us!
